To Attach a Design to a Work Request

A work request can have only one attached design. This is the design that you select as the best solution for implementation. If you change your mind, you can detach this design and attach another one before submitting the work request. A work request cannot have more than one attached design at any time.

The Available Designs dialog displays a list of available designs so you can choose one and attach it to a particular work request. An icon in the Attached column of the My Work view indicates those work requests that have an attached design. Clicking the plus sign in the Tree column expands the list to show information about the attached design. Attaching a design to a work request changes its state to Design Attached. From the list of work requests in the My Work view, select the work request to which you want to attach a design.
From the Actions menu, choose Attach. Or right-click the work request, point to Actions on the shortcut menu, and then click Attach.
From the list of designs, select the one that you want to attach to the selected work request and click OK.
Note: A design cannot be linked to more than one work request. Linking a design to a work request will remove it from the list of available designs.

Note: If the work request already has an attached design, you must detach the design before selecting a different item as the attached design.
